The Democratic Socialists of North America is herby founded on this day of June 10th, 2026 for the self determination of all freedom loving peoples. From the worker in the factory to the farmer in the field we strengthen our weak and weaken our oppressors through solidarity and mutual aid. 

Principle 1: Action

This organization is founded with the first and foremost goal of Anti-Capitalist, Anti-Fascist, Anti-Imperialist, and Internationalist action. Let our goals be far from simply having our memberships as an identifier, a sign of someone's political purity that they would be a part of such an organization. Instead let it be that every member sets one foot in front of another on the path to liberation.
 

Principle 2: Organization

One worker alone is incapable of changing anything beyond his own personal circumstances. Collective change requires the collective effort of many lone individuals. On these grounds we organize our movement to unite the downtrodden, oppressed, and disenfranchised together into one clasped fist to pound at the door of freedom until it is opened for us. 

Principle 3: Democracy

Democracy is our goal, our road to our goal, and among our foundational principles. Democracy not just on a national, regional, or local scale but democracy in the workplace as well. We truly believe in the power of democracy beyond slogans and into our day-to-day lives. That such a system is not just a good one but a right upon every person that they may have a say in the fruits of their labor. 

Principle 4: Diversity 

Diversity is a natural strength any movement, organization, or society can possess. To have people of multiple backgrounds, perspectives, and outlooks on the world expands our political reach and abilities. To this end we must be open to and invite people of all races, religions, genders, and sexualities into our fold that align with our mission.


Principle 5: Internationalism 

As long as oppression exists in any place it is the responsibility of humanity to confront it. We are of one body, when any one part is inflicted with pain it is felt by all of us until the pain is resolved. For this reason we refuse to isolate ourselves to national or even regional politics. Wherever it is found, we will be found.
