Bonneville High School 7on7 go to National Championships

The Bonneville Bees football team participated in their 3rd straight NFL HSPD tournament at Bonneville High School on June 9, 2014. We won the tournament finishing 8-0, which earned us a trip to Seattle, WA to play in the Regional tournament on June 22, 2014, played at the Seattle Seahawks practice facility. After playing 3 games to seed the tournament, we went into the single elimination portion of the tournament as the #1 seed, resulting in a first round bye. We ended up winning all 6 of our games during this tournament including winning the semi-final and the championship games both on the last play of the game after trailing our respective opponents. Our team did a great job sticking together and overcoming adversity to be named NFL HSPD Regional Champions and as a result, we have the opportunity to represent the defending Super Bowl Champion Seattle Seahawks with an all expensed paid trip courtesy of the NFL to the national tournament played in Indianapolis, IN at the Colt’s practice facility on July 14&15, 2014.

The members of the 12 man team are

Bradley Smith QB/S
Teagan Handy WR/S
Brendan Tomayo WR
Kolby Tomayo WR/CB
Zach Eldridge TE
Jaden Howell WR/CB
Trevor McDonald RB/CB
Alec Rierson S
Tayler Lyons CB
Sterling Hunting LB/WR
Austin Sorensen LB/RB
Colby Sexton S

Coaches are Rob Hannan and Dustin Medellin both asst. coaches with Bonneville High School. Bonneville Head Football Coach Fred Armstrong will also be in attendance in Indianapolis.
This is the second time in three years Bonneville has participated in the national tournament as they also won the regional in Seattle in 2012.
7on7 games consist of two ten minute halves with a three minute halftime. Games are played on a regulation field with each team starting at their opponents 40 yard line and going into the endzone. Each team consists of only 12 players with 7 players on the field at a time and only pass plays are permitted. No down linemen participate in this tournament. The national tournament consists of 32 teams, representing all 32 NFL teams as determined by regional tournament champions. The NFL teams with the National Guard to put on these tournaments all over the country, culminating with The national tournament this weekend.

This has been a great experience for all involved and we hope that the successes we have had and the confidence we have gained as a team will translate into continued success on Friday nights this fall.

ISU Women's Soccer

POCATELLO, Idaho – Home games against Hawaii and Wyoming highlight the 2014 Idaho State soccer schedule.
"We are very excited about our 2014 schedule as it offers a wide range of competition for us, especially our non-conference portion as we prepare for our conference opponents," Head Coach Allison Gibson said.
ISU opens the 2014 schedule with four home contests and five of the first seven games at Davis Field.
The Bengals open with exhibition games against Salt Lake Community College on Aug. 12 and Westminster College on Aug. 16.
Idaho State hosts Minot State in the regular-season opener on Aug. 22. Wyoming comes to Pocatello for the first contest against a Division I opponent on Aug. 29.
The Bengals then play road contests against Utah State on Sept. 5 and Boise State on Sept. 7.
Idaho State hosts Hawaii, on Sept. 14, for the first time since 2003.
ISU travels to California for two games to close out the non-conference schedule. The Bengals face Cal State Fullerton Sept. 18 and San Diego State on Sept. 21.
"Fullerton and San Diego St will give us a huge challenge and opportunity to play two top programs," Gibson said. "Also exciting is the fact that we get to host the University of Hawaii this year.  With three Hawaiian players on our 2014 roster, this will be a sort of reverse homecoming for them as they will be playing against several friends and former teammates."
Idaho State opens the Big Sky schedule with games at Eastern Washington on Sept. 26 and Montana Sept. 28.
The Bengals have home Big Sky games against North Dakota (Oct. 3), Northern Colorado (Oct. 5), Portland State (Oct. 10), Southern Utah (Oct. 24) and Northern Arizona (Oct. 26).
On top of the conference opening trip to Eastern Washington and Montana, ISU has road Big Sky games against Sacramento State (Oct. 12) and Weber State (Oct. 31).
On Oct. 19, the Bengals will renew their annual contest against the University of Idaho in Moscow. This season's game will have Big Sky implications as the Vandals join the conference in every sport except football.
The addition of Idaho takes the amount of soccer teams in the Big Sky to 11.
"With the addition of Idaho to our conference, it is great that we have gone to a five home five away schedule," Gibson said. "Knowing we get to host five conference games every year is a great thing. We love playing at Davis Field in front of our amazing fans."

We Are Your Bengals

Welcome

Welcome to the Newest Page for DSN.  The Dynamic Social Network.  We are currently putting a number of things together and hope to have a beta test on some broadcasts very soon.  We are not going to be like the Federal Government and just start things that don't work.  We will be testing and making sure things are working as we go along.  Yes, It has been a hard road but we are starting to smooth most of the bumps out and will be moving right along as the new year starts.  Thank you for your support in all that we do and we look forward to continually serving each community as we stretch out across the state and on as we stretch to other states.  Many new things will continue to come on board and we will have a new look and logo.  We will still be bringing you as much information and of course many broadcasts as we work to better the broadcasts, which I think you will be able to see.  So pardon our Dust as we work to bring you as much as possible from all over the state.  Look for scores from the night before.  Run downs of games that are coming up and events that will be broadcast.  Remember, you may have to click on a different button if you broadcast is in our beta tests for the evening but then you'll really get to see what the new look will be.  So be patient as we grow and realize it all gets better from here as we add more events from communities from all over Idaho.  Thank You,  Bruce Herker - President TriStar Broadcasting - Dynamic Social Network.
